Throughout the ages, there have been mathematicians and mathematics users have involved with music. For example, Albert Einstein played the violin. In many cases, the connection was more than simply an advocation. Einstein once stated that he was playing his equations. I have done this sort of thing myself.

I plan to research the historical role music seems to have played among mathematicians and users of mathematics, e.g., scientists and engineers.
